A month ago I attended the Clubmed event, and boy was it something else. I give them a million points for thinking outside the box because I just love creativity. The invite did state that we should bring memorabilia of our favourite family holidays. The set-up was perfect, a champagne breakfast at a bookclub. We had a neuro linguistic specialist who took us back into time. She took me to a time when my father was alive and without fail, took all 6 of us kids and my mom on holiday. Each and every year. It deeply saddened me that I can’t do the same for my kids. Ok I try, but I should do better than my parents right?

When the new year set, and everyone set resolutions and filled the gyms – we decided that this year’s goal is to save for a perfect vacation with the kids. A proper holiday…through Clubmed.
“Mauritius is one of South Africa’s most preferred destinations for family travel. Families get the best of many worlds – a family friendly, idyllic island paradise, all within a short four-hour flight. The weather is beautifully sunny all-year round, and the beaches that hug the warm, blue Indian Ocean waters are magnificent. What’s not to love for family travel?,” said Lesego Matabane, Marketing Manager for Club Med Southern Africa.
“With this in mind, presenting Kids U12 Stay Free* for this destination gives parents the opportunity to travel with their little ones. For some it would be their first time, and they can do so while enjoying
substantial savings. The all-inclusive offering remains for families that take advantage of the Kids U12 Stay Free* promotion – they get the full Club Med experience. From airport transfers, premium
accommodation, international gourmet cuisine, all day snacking, open bar day and night, full access to kids clubs, and resort activities,” she added.
Families traveling on this offering will have full access to their resort of choice. All they pay for are the children’s return airfare. In-resort, the kids will have their own rooms with inter-leading doors to the parents’ room for easy access and peace of mind. Both La Plantation d’Albion and La Pointes aux
Cannoniers can fully accommodate families with their fully equipped Kids Clubs, where qualified child-minders (called GOs, short for Gentle Organisers) will entertain and educate your young ones. At these Kids Clubs, the children play with their peers, engage in various creative activities like art, cooking, and theatre, giving parents the opportunity and space to enjoy some down time and have an actual holiday themselves.
